Caryophyllene, also known as Beta Caryophyllene, can interact with cannabinoid receptors in the human body’s end-cannabinoid system and act as a catalyst for certain effects and possible benefits.
Taste and Aroma
Caryophyllene’s aroma is known to be spicy and/or peppery. It can be found naturally in rosemary, cloves, hops, black pepper, oregano, cinnamon, and basil.
Anti-inflammatory: Evidence suggest Caryophyllene could help reduce or soothe inflammation in the human body.
Anti-cancer: A 2016 study suggested that Caryophyllene was able to slow the growth of cancer cells.
Anti-anxiety: Studies have shown to indicate that Caryophyllene has positive mood-enhancing properties.
Pain-relief: A 2013 study showed a reduction in pain in animals when treated with Caryophyllene.
